Currently you need to have the accelerator slightly pressed in to get crackles and pops on the SkyActiv-G engine. VersaTuner can data log the "Control module voltage", which is the voltage received by the PCM. It can also log the voltages returned by some sensors, such as the fuel pressure sensor, MAP and MAF sensors. You can log that even with the free version. The ECU should have no problem running ...

This looks like a driver or DirectX issue.
I'd start with making sure that the latest version of DirectX and Nvidia graphics drivers is installed.

On Denso ECUs you can use the option "Disable decel fuel cut" in the Tune Editor. We have not identified that option on Mitsubishi ECUs yet.
