Re: Boost Control.
Am I just being paranoid too about boost levels by trying to target 16-17PSI only..??

How to overcome sluggish low/midrange.
Hello All...
I am wondering how, besides adding advance, you can overcome a sluggish 2500-3500 RPM range. It would be good to add a little more "pep" in this range.
Thanks...!!!

Re: Help Debugging the High Load OTS tune
I find it has been extremely helpful to export the VT log file to a csv and then open it in Excel. This way you can manipulate the data and get a much better idea of what is going on. For example, I organise the file based on highest to lowest RPM. I then break up that data in RPM ranges, such as 35...

Re: Boost Control.
Load = boost + barometric pressure, no getting around that. I suspect, this is the case. Sadly, with a smaller turbo, I believe higher loads (and boost) would be mechanically stressful to the turbo. It will be interesting to see what the logs show for the new file. Hopefully with the lower load tar...

Table Comparison Spreadsheet
Hello All... I created a spreadsheet for the common tables to help me see the difference from stock. Tables include: - Load Targets for Gear and APP, - Closed Loop Timing for Max and Base, - Open Loop Timing for Max and Base, - WGDC, - Closed Loop AFR, - Open Loop AFR for Normal, - Open Loop AFR for...

Re: Boost Control.
Looking at a log I took with a load target of 1.98, it is pretty apparent to me that trying to target a load that high would involve a boost pressure of over 17.5PSI. In fact, almost any load over 1.80 in my log is a boost pressure over 17PSI. Anytime I managed to hit a 1.9+ load, the boost pressure...

Can you post a screenshot of your WGDC table?

Debugging OTS tunes
What sort of boost are you seeing @wot in 4th? You may just need to tweak the wgdc to prevent the the cut/load spikes. With stock car I would assume the wgdc is set higher than would be required with flow mods thus causing overboost conditions. Do a 3rd gear pull, change the wgdc table and flash, t...

Understanding the Ignition Tables.
Hello All... Looking at the table descriptions, I gather the ignition advance value essentially starts at the value defined in the Base Tables, and increases towards the value defined by the Max Tables. I have two questions. 1: At what point does the ECU stop advancing the value towards the Max Tabl...
