Cold idle speed.
We all know that our MZR engine has a noticeably high cold idle on 1st start up and that it does sound rather terrible, but wonder how many of us know that it can be 'bypassed' by slightly pressing the throttle as you start the engine. Doing this stops it revving so high, instead it idles around 130...

Re: UK member
You need to remember that once a flash has been done, you need to drive the car steady for a good few miles to allow the ECU to adjust to the new settings. The car won't feel its best until you have done this, I think 20/30miles of mixed driving is req'd before the ecu is happy again. When I first f...

Re: Debugging OTS tunes
Forgive me for being stupid, but what is a OTS tune? Is it a map that you can flash from Versatune or a different tuner?

Re: APP requested load / req'd load gear limit relationship
^^^^ That is a good question/point.^^^^ Would be nice to simplify things a little.
I must say, I'm very impressed with the software, its capabilities and the support provided by the Versatune team!

APP requested load / req'd load gear limit relationship
Hi, I'm just playing around with the load tables and noticed that at WOT the APP req'd load figures are slightly higher than the load limit figures (lower BAT) tables. I don't understand that, why would it be set that way- if the req'd APP load can't be achieved because the per gear load limits are ...

Question re:post flashing.
Hi, I would like to know if the STFT's & LTFT's are reset after each and every flash. Just wondering because sometimes I am making small changes to my map that have no impact on the general fueling/timing etc. For example, if I simply alter the speed limiter on my map then reflash, do I still ne...

Aggressive throttle calibration??
Hi, I have been looking at altering the throttle calibration maps. I would like to make them more aggressive in that at 25% throttle the reported position is 50%. at 50% throttle the reported is 75%. I have smoothed out the entire graph and started more gently, it looks slightly S shaped. I want to ...

Question about the performance maps (98EU + 98EU high load)
Hi, I have just purchased this tuner and waiting for the download, really looking forward to playing around:) Just a few questions about the performance maps that can be downloaded. Do these maps remove the stock boost limiter from the lower gears? Is smooth shift available with the high load map an...
