Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Cool - my loads are mostly around 2 so that's OK. Also, I haven't seen BATs above 50*C yet

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Well it's not like I run WOT all the time :D 90% of my many, many miles are on the motorway at 70-80mph so once I've got peak performance sorted I'm going to really concentrate on efficiencies at part throttle cruising. As for WOT stresses, it's a performance engine, right? And there are tonnes of 3...

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Thanks Steve. AFR is fine, what's acceptable BAT? :) And am I on the right track now with sorting this 'ere boost spike and whatnot? Also- more generic question. What is the downside to increasing target load? i.e. what could go wrong? My car seems perfectly happy to give me 2 load but wha...

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
BTW - is <= 0.7* KR something I want to try to dial out and if so, how might I go about doing it? Is it as simple as pulling the timing a tad at the most common knocking points or would colder plugs be a better solution? Or am just getting ahead of myself at this point

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Ok. I've finally dialed out the boost spike by reducing the BCS DC siginificantly. I'm still in 2 port mode since I can't find ANYWHERE in the entire Universe that even knows what a 6mm blanking cap is, let alone sells one, so I can't yet convert to 3 port mode. However, I've reduced my DC to much l...

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Not sure what that means
Although since I'm trying to iron out overboosting then maybe it'll work. Gonna just reduce the BCS DC a bunch more tomorrow to see what effect it has

Re: 1st Dyno run on VT High Load map - wtf?
Right, I've finally got chance to run the car again for logging and tweaking. For the record, I haven't yet moved to 3 port mode because I haven't got the bits :D I've reduced the BCS DC somewhat at low rpm and raised my target loads a little - the idea being that I spool slower and the ECU doesn't ...

Excellent thanks
Just need to get the bots to convert my Grimmspeed to 3-port mode now. Apparently I need nipples
