Re: Request: injector scaling and maps
Are you sure? Every shop manual I've found shows the 4 port series 1 with 4 blue secondary injectors and 2 red primaries. Maybe I missed something? From what I've seen the series 1 4 port has 6 total (red blue) injectors, the 6 port has 8 total injectors (red yellow) and the series 2 has 4 total (g...

Re: Desired AFR
My personal experience is that Desired AFR parameter does not work.
In Open Loop the Desired AFR parameter IMO is completely broken, and in Closed Loop there seems to be enough of a variance to make it suspect.

Re: Stage 1 Remap on RX8 with Grams 1000cc Injectors
The scaling 1 is set to : 369.472 and scaling 2 is set to : 475.93 I am assuming that scaling 1 is the Yellow Stock Injectors (4) and scaling 2 is the Red Stock Injectors (2) I have new Red Stock Injectors to go in and would also like to install the GRAMS 1000cc injectors as the secondary (to repla...

Re: Map Air fuel ratio base
Sorry I'm not really well learned with E85 tuning. I'm guessing you'll need to increase all the Acceleration enrichment maps, those should help with throttle tip-in. (STFT) I believe you'll need to increase all the Air Fuel Ratio map because E85 has a different Stoichiometric value than gasoline. As...

Re: Map Air fuel ratio base
No I have not tried to tune for E85.
E85 isn't very common or cheaper where I'm located in Canada.

Re: Map Air fuel ratio base
Air Fuel Ratio Base (sorry about the confusion) That's a good question. I am not entirely sure. I'm guessing it is suppose to have something to do with the amount of air needed to achieve the complete combustion of a given quantity of a fuel and type of fuel. Why it is at 13.85016 for a gasoline eng...

Re: Map Air fuel ratio base
I'm not sure I entirely understand your question. If you want to see the base map, I believe you can download the free version and see the base AFR maps. As far as comparison, VT will show you the comparison values to any map you choose. The difference between the other maps well depends on entirely...

Note Injectors 2 and 3 share the same Injector Latency 2 table.

Re: MAF Calibration 101
The 2.0 lambda (or if you're logging in AFR you'll see 20 afr) occurs when you take your foot off the gas. There is a fuel cut during the decel condition. (this is normal on the RX8) Go out and do a simple log cycling thru "on" the gas then completely "off" the gas, you'll see th...
