Re: VVT logs showing lower values
I suppose if the supplier sent that, then that is what should be best. They are a bit higher than what I would've expected, especially 25-30 degrees by redline. What camshafts are they? But as I stated, the cam phaser physically can't advance past 35-36 degrees of VVT advance, so anything greater th...

Re: VVT logs showing lower values
I may be wrong, but I believe the VVT cam phaser maxes at around 35-36 degrees. Meaning you physically can't go more then the 35-36 degrees of VVT advance, which you saw. What does your VVT map look like? It shouldn't be set to 40 degrees across the board if that is what you are inferring. On natura...

Re: Load Logging max @ 1.4
It is possible to have a flat curve with load during WOT depending on your airflow, however I haven't seen this before on a set boost. Either way, best thing you can do is to provide a log and see what is happening with the car. On another note, there is no need to change your Volumetric Efficiency ...

Re: Under boosting on new turbo
Say as you wish, but I assure you I am aware of what I am doing. Quoting you and only quoting you, "I would not go above load 2.3 (pump gas) on these engines before 3500rpm. At 3500rpm upwards it's fine." Maybe English isn't first language, but from my understanding when you say 3500rpm up...

Re: Under boosting on new turbo
I'll get logs with that next time I'm out, unfortunately can't go for a drive at this current time. However I do have 2 logs, one which was driving with 100% wastegate and the other which was only running spring pressure at 0% wastegate. For some reason the forums doesn't upload anything I attach so...

Under boosting on new turbo
I have recently installed a BNR S2 on my car but I'm having issues with boost control. Originally when installing and taking it for the first drive, I was seeing boost levels of 22-23psi+ (!!!), while wastegate pressure is only 1 BAR. Turns out one of the covers on the back of the turbo was partiall...

Re: Questioning Logic of Stock Tune
There is definitely someone who can explain this better than me but this is my understanding. Like you said load is basically how much torque the engine is producing. The reason the targeted load drops off above 5000rpm is due to the stock k04 not being able to reach higher loads (with the stock BCS...

Re: Fuel Trims during WOT
Interesting about the load, you mean I can increase up to 2.4-2.5 or more as long as torque doesn’t have any unnecessary jumps.

Re: Fuel Trims during WOT
Okay, I can give that a try. How much more ignition are we talking? When I was initially tuning and plotting the data onto Virtual Dyno it claimed I was loosing / not gaining any more power with the ignition changes, or maybe it was wrong. In terms of load, what do you think I can target and reach t...

The log didn't send, I uploaded it to Google Drive instead.
