Re: Remove pops and bangs
If you are using the '98 Octane High Load with High Flow Down Pipe with Crackle and Pop' tune, there is another tune on the tune database called '98 Octane High Load with High Flow Down Pipe' which is the exact same tune without the pops. If you still want the pops but 4000RPM and above you have the...

Re: Desired AFR
Yeah I think best bet is to make sure everything is check, if you haven't I suggest cleaning your MAF sensor. You will be surprised how much that can change things if it's dirty. We have gone through 70-80% of the tables in the tune so I'm unsure why your car is acting the way it is, but the 'Cataly...

Re: Desired AFR
Always start with calibrating MAF but if you find things aren't changing then you recalibrate the VE table. If you have put new injectors in you will need to rescale the injector tables or else it won't work. Although, I am puzzled on why the car demands lean conditions while WOT. Have you deleted a...

Re: Desired AFR
That is good to hear, you can probably change the car to run richer mixtures sooner in the closed loop tables but that shouldn't change much due to you getting 14.7 desired at load > 1 and open loop conditions. I think you need to get your MAF dialled in because that heavily impacts how the car resp...

Re: Desired AFR
That’s good to hear, sounds like your MAF calibration is way out and needs major adjusting, you could try add 10% across the whole board and see if it changes anything for starters.
Have you checked if you have any intake leaks that could possibly be causing such a dramatic lean condition?

Re: Desired AFR
I have attached a tune with like promised all the stock values from a Mazda 3 2.5L ECU, however I have modified some things here and there that should benefit you (AFRs, VVT, limits etc). If you are running the stock MAF housing, meaning the stock intake still you should be able to flash this tune n...

Re: Desired AFR
Yes, the tune I had uploaded on my other post has the injector scaling for the 2.5 injectors. When I get home later, I'll send you a tune with all the 2.5 tables from a 2.5 ECU which you can copy over to your tune and technically speaking run a stock 2.5 tune and that should get you somewhere. Are y...

Re: Desired AFR
I don't believe there is an issue with the tune and in fact the car is demanding 14.7 all the time for reasons we are yet to know, maybe your MAF calibration is far off or there is an issue somewhere mechanically on your car. Absolute Limits: I notice you are demanding the car to always run in Open ...

Re: Desired AFR going rich at high rpm
That is some useful information you have given me, I'll definitely give it a shot and see what I can do. I'll get the old O2 sensor welded back in within the next week and see how I go. Do you recommend running 100% closed loop all the time because the issue is last time I tried to do that, my desir...

Re: Desired AFR going rich at high rpm
Thanks for your response, I'll have to play around with the catalyst temp tables then, I never really understood what they were for. I log my AFRs with a wideband sensor and a gauge on my dash that I had replaced with the that O2 sensor, hence is why it reads 0.02V the entire time (not plugged in). ...
