Thanks Steve, yeah, I get that, more fuel, more heat. Its the dramatic reduction in power when it hits the limit, rather than maintaining the safe temperatures that seems to be causing the effect.
Look forward to the tune!
Thanks

Re: Rapidly climbing EGT
Thanks for that! Unfortunately my VT software says that versions of VT aren't compatible. I'm running version 1.12.
Were you able to open my log?
Would you be able to perhaps send a screen shot with rpm, vehicle speed, EGT B1S1, fuel injection amount desired and manifold absolute pressure?

Re: Rapidly climbing EGT
Me either yet! That's why I've handed it back to VT! Sorry to hear your having the same problem, but glad I'm not alone. Do you have a base log or other logs you can share for comparison?

Re: Rapidly climbing EGT
Hi! Finally had time to load the original stock tune as directed. Have done about 50 klms so should be settled in. I have uploaded the 0-100 log as requested. I noted the problem has disappeared with the stock tune. It pulls evenly, all the way, temp reaches 720 degrees approx then levels out with n...

Re: Rapidly climbing EGT
Hi, unfortunately I have uploaded them to my pc, unzipped them and deleted the zipped folders. Do you have another suggestion?

Rapidly climbing EGT
Hi all. I have a GEN 1 2012 CX5. VT works well except for one major problem. Any VT tune causes EGT to skyrocket and in -0100 runs they max out (Approx 740 degress) around 75 klms causing major cuts and fuel and boost by the ECU. As I understand it, the ECU is doing its job correctly. The problem is...

Thanks, the space bar is a much bigger and easier button to click Thanks! Something on the dash would be even better when its introduced!

Versa Tuner additional function.
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to set up a logging button such as the demister.
In a tuned forester I had, all you had to do was press the demister and the laptop would either start or stop logging.
Would make things heaps easier and safer!
Thanks
Aaron
