Re: HPFP Internals and intake

With so many oil changes per year you have to buy a drum!!! I usually make 2-3 oil changes per year and at the moment I have only one car. I changed my oil today with Motul x-cess 5w40. I couldn't find Motul Sport and redline cost 18 euro per quart and it is not very easy to find it here in Greece. ...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

Ok. I understand. I use to see what the service book was reccomend because I thought that was better for my engine. I dont care for fuel save but for protection. I saw in the manual that I can choose between 5w30 a3/a5 or 10/40 a3 . Then I checked the dexelia 5w30 label and I saw that is a5/b5 so I ...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

I have read that is recommended from mazda if you have a smoky turbo. I dont argue with you but I want to decide which step I have to make first. Just switch to 5w40 and set the idle to factory's numbers or install the oil catch can and see what happens. I check my engine oil for consumption very of...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

I used Motul eco-nergy 5w30 which is A5/B5. I think the mazda original oil dexelia is also A5/B5. Now I use the new Motul eco-lite . It isn't for diesel but for gasoline. Motul says: 100% Synthetic Fuel Economy engine oil specially formulated for recent gasoline engines, naturally aspirated or turbo...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

The smoke is blue and it happened when I the car was at idle for about 5-10 minutes. I raised the idle to 950 and I will check again. The oil I use is Motul 8100 Eco-lite 5w30 . It is supposed better for direct ignition engine and prevent low speed pre ignition. I thought that 5w30 is suitable for o...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

Thank you for your response! As always you are very helpful!
I wonder if a gen2 valve cover helps for the smoking turbo issue.

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

I installed the decat downpipe and I installed the high flow dowpipe tune.
I saw an improvement in performance and much better sound!
The only downside is that I saw smoke when I leave the car at idle for long period.
Do I need to change the idle rpm?
I already have but not installed an Oil Catch Can.

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

Do I need to use a second lamda spacer for CEL fix? I know that I can disable CEL from versatune but I wonder if it is better with the spacer.

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

I will go for a custom decat downpipe next week and I would like to ask if is something to watch out for ? The mechanic told me that he will place the lamda sensors in the same spot as the factory setup. Do I need to use an extender-spacer at the second lamda for better reading? I would also like to...

Re: HPFP Internals and intake

Is any advantage if you replace the stock boost controller solenoid with a electonic boost controller like hks evc6 ?
