Desired AFR Calculation?

I haven't really messed with Versatune much until now, but I've been researching a lot about tuning cars to prep for tuning my FD and decided to try to clean up my RX8 tune as practice. 11 AFR is way too rich for a NA rotary, so a long time ago I decided to lean it out a bit with no luck. Raising th...

Re: Return to stock without backup

80PSI is still ok especially if all faces of the rotors are the same. Compression figures vary with barometric pressure as well (battery, and so on) so unless you have another mint car/engine as a point of reference I'd say you're still ok. I swapped out my K&N air filter yesterday before I too...

Re: Return to stock without backup

Well, it's time for a compression test then. It looks like once everything in the tune and deviation learning settles things begin to get weird. It's possible that you have lower compression on one side on one of your rotors and that kind of messes things up. I don't think the alternator is the pro...

Re: Return to stock without backup

Was the throttle body cleaned up as well? Do the VTCS flaps and the VTCS actuator move freely as well? My car is a 2010 RX8 just FYI. I haven't cleaned the throttle body, but from my logs I'm seeing the right MAF readings. I normally get about 27-28 lb/m of air flow max, and at around 3-4k rpm I ge...

Re: Return to stock without backup

Hello, I understand the return to stock function works using a backup, but I was wondering if I've lost my backup how can I uninstall Versatuner from my ECU? The return to stock function seems to have only set a stock tune but is still installed on the ECU. I'm having some power loss issues I'm try...

Re: Versatune causing ECU to lose connection to instrument p

I mean it's only happening while I'm logging. It's not all the time either. It will randomly start messing with the instrument panel and then I can reset the CEL and it will work fine for a while with no issues. I've reflashed the ECU as well and the same behavior occurred before and after. I'll do ...

Versatune causing ECU to lose connection to instrument panel

I have a 2010 RX8 and I've been using versatune the last week after updating to version 1.13.70.0 and I've been getting a CEL for the instrument cluster losing connection to the ECU while my computer is plugged in and logging. CEL codes are U0073 and U0155. This hasn't happened before until this upd...

Launch control

So I've been using Versatuner for a bit now, and I was hoping the launch control would be more responsive like the actual rev limiter. Not saying that it's not serving it's primary purpose well, but I like the quick bouncing and exhaust popping with flames of the rev limiter. I read somewhere on her...
