Re: Desired torque implications on tuning process
step 5 and 6 can be done irrelevant. VE table is very rough in OEM config. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4316&p=16161#p16161 read my post/answer in this topic.

Re: Desired AFR
My personal experience is that Desired AFR parameter does not work. In Open Loop the Desired AFR parameter IMO is completely broken, and in Closed Loop there seems to be enough of a variance to make it suspect. when the VE table is cleaned up using ltf, stf and deviation from desired afr, the desir...

Re: MAP RX8 by versatune
there is no benefit of pushing the ignition advance further up (no torque to be gained). the engine is not knock limited. ofc you can hit knock with low quality fuel. or if you advance the ignition you will be riding on the "knock retard" table ie less advance than originally. make sure yo...

Re: Ethanol base Fuel map
on NA you will lose power with e85 as you will have significantly less space for air in the process. unless going above 300whp there is absolutely no reason to do so. the Lambda = 1 will be always the same and that is how our AFR maps are defined (on lambda not AFR). you need to edit the injector ma...

Re: Map Air fuel ratio base
the target afr should not be changed! ecu stores lambda value, and lambda sensor measures, well lambda. it cares nothing about the fuel it uses in those tables. I would suspect the original map in question of 13.8 is the estimation of how much fuel it needs compared to air in order to achieve lambda...

Re: E10, global modifier?
long term is applied to all cells no matter if closed on open loop. this should be tackled either in MAF (as they seam grouped in "low" g/s) or in VE. you need to se the data scatter (range) for g/s X axiss and total trim on Y (scatter in sence how much of the value varies from the average...

Re: New to Tuning-Looking for a Tune
I would still try to aim to the values I provided yours seam stock :) for track racing beat uses 12.9:1 :) so anything above it (more fuel) is just wasting power. Thought I would be very careful to first clean out the VE table, and only after that mess with the AFR target tables ! VE tables can be s...

Re: Ignition cut rev limiter possible?
Just read an interesting post from Brettus on the RX8 club about the Rev Limiter cut. He did a bit of a thread Resurrection, however the thread is short and his post is worth reading. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/rx8-redline-revlimit-system-143791/ someone from versa should follow that...

Re: Versa Tunes recomendation (Fan temps and Idle rpm)
there is no mechanical way to be 3rd speed. the relays actuating them can be off, power 1 or power 2, no way to increase to 3rd.
