Hi There...
I have tried (briefly) a file with zero change to the CL fueling table. Straight away, the idle afr returned rock solid to 14.81:1. So as a test I have flashed the same file with a low load/rpm target of 1.02 Lambda.
Let's see what happens.

Re: Idle AFR
Hello All...
Considering that Desired and Actual are very close, what would cause the ECU to target an AFR under the target set in the CL table? I request say 1.015 Lambda, but the desired and actual AFR are both under Lambda 1.00.
Thanks..!!!

Re: Leaning out AFR's for cruise.
Hello All... Just a further to my previous question about maximum permissible lean Lambda value. Is there any code relating to forcing the AFR to be no higher than Lambda 1.00? I tend to notice (via Dashhawk) that the AFR will eventually target Lambda 1, even though the CL table is pushing for 1.015.

Re: Leaning out AFR's for cruise.
Steve...
A couple of questions.....
1: Is there any indication in the code of a maximum permissible lean Lambda value?
2: Any idea on what the narrow band O2 range is in terms of Lambda?
3: Does VT have a way to reset fuel trims besides flashing a new tune?
Many Thanks.

My Current CX7 Tune.
Hi There...
I filled up today, and the price here in Melbourne (Aus) was $1.67 per litre.
With my L/100KM down from 15.2 to 13.5, I am saving some money. I estimate about a ten litre a tank saving at $16. So that would be about two years to recover all costs.

Re: My Current CX7 Tune.
Hello All...
After testing this file (1.14) out for fuel economy, I must say that I am ecstatic..!!
With my regular driving in Suburbia yielding around 390KM per tank (stock tune), today v1.14 tune gave me 460km for essentially the same driving. And with more pickup and mid range power.
Cheers..!!

Re: Idle AFR
Steve... I have not done a MAF cal at all. Those tables remain 100% untouched. And aircon is off. Whether the engine is cold or running temp, makes no difference. This current tune is using the exact same fuelling as the previous one I built. And the same condition exists. A slightly rich idle. I ha...

Re: Stock tune and initialy acquired car/ECU information
It depends on what OS you are using. I have VT installed on three laptops. Two run Win7 and one XP. VT runs perfectly on all platforms. There is a directory named VersaTune and it can be found somewhere under the logged in Username's directory, in a hidden folder dependant on OS. Just copy (overwrit...

Re: Idle AFR
Hi All... I find it really odd that the AFR has become a little rich. I have been running stock files and tuned files for literally a few years now and rarely has the idle AFR changed from 14.81:1. Naturally the aircon will alter things for a bit, but even then the AFR will settle back to 14.81.My f...

Idle AFR
Hello All... I am hoping the VersaTune Brains can help me solve this oddity. Normally, my car will idle at 14.81:1 on my Dashhawk. It is almost "religious." With nearly all the tunes I have been experimenting with ( and I'm up to 14 ) the AFR stays at this level on idle. Oddly, the last te...
