Re: NC2 issues after running basic tune

It's possible that the primary cat was loose already and the pops knocked pieces into the secondary cat. I've only heard of a couple instances of this happening. I put thousands of miles on a cack and pop tune on my MS3 before we released the cracks and pops tunes. I had no issues.

Logging and flashing are somewhat slower than VersaLink, but the price point of the OBDLink SX is quite attractive.

OBDLink cables can be purchased at scantool.net

RX-8s tend to have a lot of fluctuation in AFR. The RX-8 has relatively low flow for such a large MAF tube. There are also spikes and dips when the SSV and APV open and close. The S1 ECU uses a slow processor that can not sample the O2 sensor as fast as modern ECUs. The result is AFRs that are not s...

We have just published the new 6-port: 93US/98EU Octane Stage 1 Stock RX-8 tune. It is for 100% stock 6 port RX-8s, and requires 93US/98EU octane fuel. Modified AFRs and VDI settings provide horsepower and torque gains across the entire power band. Metering oil pump output is increased slightly for ...
