Re: Tuning Troubles

Do a WOT log in at least 3rd gear for a 6MPS, even 4th if you have space. Virtual dyno will not work accurately with the 6MPS/3MPS BK/gen1 CX7 logs because of the lower logging resolution. If you run a low gear log through it the resolution is even worse.

Re: Tuning Troubles

He has a long way to go up until like 4.8. When hitting the 4.9 limit you will only get a reduction in power and a cel about the MAF performance range or something.

Re: need little guide

Your log file has the column titles shifter right once cel.
Even when you let off, the acceleration pedal position is reported to be 31%. So you may have a problem with the pedal.

Re: Tuning Troubles

Zero out the bcsdc boost target correction table and see how this goes. You may also need a bit more VVT, like stock values up to 5k rpm.
Also please add relative throttle position in your logs, you may be requesting a bit too less throttle as well.

Re: Tuning Troubles

How much wastegate do you allow for? Either post the content of the BCS DC Base table or if you're not running into any intellectual property issues you can share the tune here.

Re: AFR leaner than 14.7?

I tried to go that lean with the 2.3DISI-T/MPS platform and apart from wearing out the sparkplugs faster and making the throttle response a bit more hysteric we did not get much. I do not recommend going leaner than 1.03LAMBDA on piston engines, with rotaries it may be even trickier. Anyway, to go l...

Absolute load and Calculated Load are different PIDs, regardless of what you read it with. They are both available via the OBD.

Re: Actual load versus calculated load

I understand how the Actual load is calculated and logged in VT, I just wasn't sure if Cobb was looking at the same PID. Both calculated and absolute load are standard OBD2 PIDs, nothing is calculated by VT or the Cobb AP. It's only that Cobb decided to use the calculated load and VT the absolute l...

Re: Actual load versus calculated load

I never found the calculated load a reliable measure to work with because it has too many inconsistent variables (ambient temp, barometric pressure, and so on), while the absolute load is simply a measure of air flow, engine displacement, RPM point and volumetric efficiency in that rpm/load point. H...

Re: My car won't pop, burble or crackle

I've read all your posts but it's still unclear to me:
- what you want to achieve (expected result);
- what you actually get (the actual result);
Posting your tune (+engine mods list) along with mentioning clearly the things above may help.
