Help Debugging the High Load OTS tune

I thought we should have a thread like this to discuss the changes we need to do to the OTS tunes to make them reliable, get more power from them and make sure we can use them safely in any wether conditions. After this experience I described in the CL MAF CAL thread with the High Load MS3/3MPS tune...

Re: CL MAF CAL

I was just looking at my dashdaq logs and I've seen 270.77g/s from 5823 to 6297 during a 3rd gear pull. Also, during that pull the FRP dropped from 1660 down to 1450 as soon as I've got WOT, it was 1417 from 3968 to 5006 when it dropped to 1357 and stayed so until 5823rpm when it raised to 1795 up u...

Re: CL MAF CAL

well, theoretically no, but considering how our MAF sensors work (they are "hot-wire" MAF sensors) the measurements may be altered by various factors including air humidity, barometric pressure, and so on. I did my own MAF cal earlier today, drove the car for about 15-20km and then went fo...

Re: Lowering Fan Temp threshold

As long as your engine coolant temperatures do not raise too much when sitting stand-still with the engine running or moving in very slow traffic I don't think it really makes sense.

Re: CL MAF CAL

Thanks a lot for that! It looks like I'll have to do my own MAF cal and them compare to yours, as the values I have in the logs are too much off. I am probably going to do it tomorrow or next day after, there are going to be -3C outside but I'll just apply some corrections after the weather will war...

Re: CL MAF CAL

What car and intake do you have? I could send you my MAF cals if you want to have something to compare to. Sorry, it's in the signature now. So if you also have the Cobb SRI and can send over your MAL CAL this would help me quite a bit to make sure I'm pulling everything right from the logs I have....

Re: CL MAF CAL

So, you are logging 25 discrete PIDs at once, and getting 60+ pids/sec? If these are all generic SAE/ISO standard pids, then it makes sense. If they are manufacturer specific pids, then they have some magic to get that data rate. The logging throughput is limited to about 50 - 70 messages/sec by th...

Re: CL MAF CAL

No, the car was using the Hypertech tune. Shouldn't the MAF g/s and voltage relationship still apply no matter what the tune was? If it doesn't apply then can you please tell me what's altering it and these should be actual measurements of the amount of air coming into the engine and not something t...

Re: CL MAF CAL

I'm not very comfortable to run a high load map with the default MAF CAL at temps around freezing. Since I have a few gigs (literally, 17GB more precisely) of logs captured with my Dashdaq at a very high resolution (over 60 readings per second) in a lot of weather and driving conditions, I was wonde...

Re: Map editing

I don't seem to be able to find anything about the wastegate duty cycles, but I'll keep looking.

P.S.: my tactrix is in Koeln/Germany already, so probably I'll get in by the end of the week.
