Re: OBD interface problem
ELM327 and KKL cannot be used to reflash a vehicle with VersaTuner. You need to get a compatible vehicle interface.
Available options are:
- OBDLink SX (most popular), EX, LX or MX
- any vehicle interface that implements the J2534 PassThru standard (Tactrix OpenPort 2.0, Mongoose Pro, VCM, etc.)

Re: Stock tune for 2004 6 speed RX-8
VersaTuner does not delete the source files if you delete the tunes from "My Tunes" and vice versa.
To get the stock tune, just click "New Tune" and the stock tune will load in the Tune Editor.

Re: Help request
You need to calibrate your MAF. Due to the much larger MAF housing, the ECU is getting incorrect information about the amount of air flowing in.
You will also need to tune for the larger turbo. There is no way you can run these mods without a proper tune.

Re: ECU not supported Message
You did everything correctly by providing the necessary data to the calibration team. Support for your calibration will be added in 1-2 business days. There are a lot of different ECU types and versions for each Mazda model and while we support most of them out the box, some are new or not seen to u...

Re: Another incorrect VIN
Letters O and I are not allowed in VINs, it's always zero and one. VersaTuner website will check the VIN when you type it.
But if you make a mistake, just contact our support and we will correct the VIN for you.

Re: Versatune install error
There's not much we can do. Those devices constantly query the ECU and interfere with the flash process. They will interfere with any tuning solution you decide to use. You don't need to completely remove them. Just disconnect them from power or from the CAN bus for 1 hour while you reflash the ECU.

Re: Versatune install error
Then you probably have some other device connected to the CAN bus or the OBD-II port of the vehicle. Gauges, loggers, alarms, modules that keep the lights or radio on. Common culprits are devices made by MX-5 Things.
You will need to disconnect them temporarily while you are reflashing the ECU.

Re: Versatune install error
What car do you have? Do you currently have an aftermarket tune on the ECU? Does it fail right away or somewhere in the middle?
