VersaTune is pleased to announce the release of VersaTuner 1.8.5.

VersaTuner 1.8.5 includes the following features:

Gen1 Mazdaspeed3, Mazda3 MPS, Mazdaspeed Axela, Mazdaspeed6, Mazda6 MPS, Mazdaspeed Atenza, CX-7
New tuning tables related to boost control and load targeting, fuel specific gravity, volumetric efficiency, idle rpm and timing, knock retard limit, and gear ratios.
Increased the allowed load values for the CL-OL transition load tables to 4.0.

Gen2 Mazdaspeed3, Mazda3 MPS, Mazdaspeed Axela, CX-7
New tuning tables related to boost control and load targeting, fuel specific gravity, volumetric efficiency, idle rpm and timing, and knock retard limit
Increased the allowed load values for the CL-OL transition load tables to 4.0.

These new tables allow better control of boost, scaling of fuel injection to accommodate E-85, better control of idle stability, and control of maximum KR.

The new table names are:

Gen1:
  • Volumetric Efficiency
    Fuel Specific Gravity
    Gear Ratio - 1st
    Gear Ratio - 2nd
    Gear Ratio - 3rd
    Gear Ratio - 4th
    Gear Ratio - 5th
    Gear Ratio - 6th
    Effective Final Drive - 1st - 4th
    Effective Final Drive - 5th - 6th
Idle RPM - AC ON - In Gear
Idle RPM - AC ON - Neutral
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - In Gear
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 1
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 2
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 3
    Knock Retard Limit
BCS DC Adjustment Limit - Increase
BCS DC Adjustment Limit - Decrease
BCS DC Adjustment - Load Target Correction - Initial
BCS DC Adjustment - Boost Limit Exceeded
Gen2:
  • Volumetric Efficiency
    Fuel Specific Gravity
Idle RPM - AC ON - In Gear
Idle RPM - AC ON - Neutral
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - In Gear
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 1
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 2
Idle Ignition Timing Adjustment Desired RPM Correction - Neutral 3
    Knock Retard Limit
BCS DC Adjustment Limit - Increase
BCS DC Adjustment Limit - Decrease
BCS DC Adjustment - Load Target Correction - Initial
BCS DC Adjustment - Boost Limit Exceeded

Many thanks for:
1. Knock Retard Limit Table.
2. Gear Ratios Tables.
3. BSC DC Adjustment ... Tables.

You are the best :thumbup

I guess the gear radios tables start making sense when we change the gear ratios after a gear box rebuild, right?
What's the impact of those tables? On load multipliers?

The ECU calculates what gear the trans is in based VSS and RPM. If you change gearsets without updating those tables, it won't know what gear you're in.

With this new version when I open the saved log presets the values are not logged or displayed in the measurement unit I chose when I customized that pid.
By example, I want the MAP to be displayed in kPa and the fuel rail pressure in PSI, and now they are both displayed in kPa. When I go to "Customize" for the fuel rail pressure I see that it should be actually displayed in PSI, but on the log board the values are in kPa.

I attached two screen shots to make you understand better what I'm talking about. In the first screen shot you can see the kPa unit, but then when I go to Customize, without making any changes, you can see that it's PSI there (and that is what I want).

When I had 1.7.1 all these were working correctly. The logging presets have never been changed since 1.6.4 (I think).

For some reason the unit customization choices are not persistent between installs. Go to the dashboard page and reselect the units you want the logs in. Even if your unit choice is already displayed, reselect it. Log viewer should then display logs in the units you chose.

Yes, it does display the PIDs with the selected unit, but then it resets next time VT is started.
This is just a minor thing, it can wait until you guys will push some other changes, I just wanted to let you know.

Also, i have an issue when exporting to csv. Dont know if its VT related but each option i choose when exporting does not export correctly. All data is in one column in Excel a d I have to use Text2Columns to read the data. This happend when i installed the new version
