Abillity to controll flat shift time
Abillity to controll flat shift time
Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible in feature versions of versatune if we should have the abillity to tune the flat shift.I mean if we can change the time(ms) that the flat shift is enabled between the gear shifting (such as wot box).....

Please explain the behavior that you would like to see.
Re: Abillity to controll flat shift time
I explained this problem to Ugnius in PM.

OK. We will discuss.

Any news on that?Steve @ VersaTune wrote:OK. We will discuss.
If you need further analysis just ask it....

Can you make your discussion with Ugnius public? I'd also like to know what is this feature request about...

Re: Abillity to controll flat shift time
What i`m saying is that,To be able to control for how many time (millisecond) will the ftlat shift is enabled, with this way we are able to make even more faster flat shifts. And we also can make it to our personal preferences other people shift faster than other.......mituc wrote:Can you make your discussion with Ugnius public? If anyone has ever use "wotbox" it has this option in its software....
Re: Abillity to controll flat shift time
I used WOTbox before buying Versatuner. WOTBox makes no-lift shifting by cutting ignition.
Long-term cutting ignition leads to explosion non ignited mixture.
But Versatuner makes no-lift shifting by cutting fueling.
So no need to limit noliftshifting time in Versatuner.
Sorry for my bad english.

Re: Abillity to controll flat shift time
The ECU holds the RPMs to the NLS limit while the clutch is down, APP > threshold and speed > LC threshold. By being tied to the clutch switch, it only holds the revs down while shifting. There should not be any need for a fixed timer. If you are not getting the results you want, you may need to adjust your settings in tune customizer.
As YuraL stated, the ECU cuts fuel to limit RPMs, so it's not dumping fuel in the exhaust.
