Support for FORD Ecoboost swaps

Post by cdnspeed6 »

Not sure if you guys can do this, but im really wanting to swap a 2.0/2.3 into one of my speeds, and I'd like to use the complete motor running on a disi ECU,

What I know so far.
Most sensors can be swapped from the disi to the Ecoboost.
The disi Fuel rail pressure sensor *May* be able to used

what would be needed is support for the Injectors and the Spill valve.

I would be just Deleting the/Blocking off the exhaust VVT and using a regular cam gear

Thank you for the suggestion, but there is very little chance we will support that in the foreseeable future. The market for swaps like that is very small and the changes required would be too time-consuming.
The ECU firmware is basically a mathematical model of a mechanical engine. Factory calibrations are developed in test cells with strictly controlled environments and loads, initial table values are filled using complex formulas. Trying to adapt the ECU to an entirely different engine means you need to recreate the mathematical model of that new engine.
It would probably make more sense to just go and buy a Focus RS :)
