Being new to tuning, I often have several tunes up and I compare tables. It gets hard to compare specific cells as they are not highlighted along the axis. Maybe we can highlight the cell like I've mocked up in photoshop below:
I used a 50% gray gradient. Not sure how you'd handle it with multiple cells selected (maybe just implement it for single selected cells)

The only difference now is that the cell is not highlighted, but you can clearly see where the two lines meet...
