Evening All,
I am a new owner to the MPS scene and puchased the Versatune software only a week ago. I'm still fiddling with the software and trying to identify the critical parameters within the Tune Editor, however I want to reduce the Idle RPM during cold start.
I have selected "NEW" from the <My Maps> screen and just modified the following parameters, as shown below:
**IDLE**
IDLE RPM - In Gear = 1000 1000 950 900 875 850 700 700
IDLE RPM - Netural = 1000 1000 950 900 875 850 700 700
I have flashed the map and found that the cold start idle RPM has not changed and it still annoyingly starts @ 1750rpm on cold mornings. There maybe another calibration table that is over-riding the above settings but I can't find anything that is obvious within the Tune Editor.
Can someone advise what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
Lee
New User - Setting Idle Speed and Cold Start
Re: New User - Setting Idle Speed and Cold Start
It looks like cold start idle can't yet be changed (by versatuner, Cobb AP or anything else). It's probably hard coded somewhere, or it's in a table that nobody has figured out just yet.
You can keep the acceleration pedal pressed just a bit during cranking and it will idle at 1250rpm instead of 1750.
