Have you got a big turbo? I highly doubt you'll be able to get a load of 2.3 across the board, your log should be from 2500 to 6200 rpm with your foot flat the floor.javigti wrote:I attached my tune and a log if you want to test it and compare!

Re: Map editing
Right, the load never reaches 2.3, (except the other day to 8 º C outdoor temperature) but I left a high value came to see as maximum. Today there was much traffic. If I have time tonight I'll do a log
Re: Map editing
Hi!
Finally I got my APP problem solved and now I can start tune as much as I can with my winter tires
Steve, the problem wasn't accelerator pedal. I detached maf, throttle, accelerator pedal etc. connectors and cleaned them and now I can finally see 100% APP when pedal is in floor.
I had a SB before so load tuning is a little bit an odd for me. I attached 3rd and 4th gear wot logs and I have few questions if someone can help me. I have Base 93/98 high load tune and i've done maf cal.
1. Wg dc is sawing both WOT's. Is that normal?
2. There is a small knock in 4th gear wot. So i'll retard timing Open loop base timing normal table. I think I should do the same to overload table?
3. Why there are for example 3 fuel pressure target tables? 1st and 3rd have same values but 2nd is different. Why there is 3 tables and when it's using 1st, 2nd or 3rd? I'm just curious about that.
4. I get more load than the base high load tune request. About 0,1 more overall in 3rd gear and 0,2 4th gear. Why is that? Usually people don't reach their requested loads
5. I want to have more boost in 3rd gear so I'll try to raise requested load in 3rd gear.
6. I would like to get more boost in less APP position. Now 90% APP I get about 0,8-0,9bar and 1,2-1,3 100% APP. I should do AP calibration?
But first I'll get rid off that knock and then I'll tune more.

Re: Map editing
The knock seems to be just 0,7 so I wonder if it has to be addressed at all. And if yes, maybe make it a little richer and not retard timing? My logs look fairly similar. I have noticed that ignition advance is max 9-10 degrees at 6000 rpm when it was with Hypertech tune up to 16 degrees, with no knock. So I think there's some tuning potential there. We have good gas...
As to APP position, there are curves per gear, you might try mapping with a steeper rising curve. I really like stock mapping, HT was too brutal for me, tiny feet movement and huge, not linear power increase. These are of course things where opinions are different.

Re: Map editing
I think anything under 1 KR is acceptable, the reason HT ran so much timing was due to the fact it was so rich. Richer than stock in places, plus used to get 1.5KR regularly with it.
Re: Map editing
I found the APP position per gear. There is so many tables that tuning with this software takes first timer so much more time than SB but I'll think that result after getting well tuned is so much better than SB. I like also quite linear power increase but now I'll have to stuff accelerator pedal to floor before I get boost more than 1bar. I'll try to make it a little bit agressive in upper APP.
I found also BCS DC adjustment-load target correction so I'll try to reduce values there to get the requested load.

BCS DC adjustment load target correction is the value added or subtracted from the BCS DC when you are above of below the load target.
Are you hitting you load targets? If so, don't change the BCS DC adjustment load target correction.
Personally, I leave the APP calibration tables alone and adjust the APP Requested Load tables to provide the load vs. APP profile that I want.

I tweaked the APP > load tables and I set gears 1 - 4 to be the same AAP > pedal and then 5 and 6 to be the same.
My APP > pedal is pretty linear under 1 load then its very agressive to 1.75ish then its linear until 2 to control wheel spin.

I'm above the target about 0,1 3rd gear and 0,2 4th gear. So I made some changes to BCS DC adjustment load target correction table.Steve @ VersaTune wrote:BCS DC adjustment load target correction is the value added or subtracted from the BCS DC when you are above of below the load target.

I'll take a look at APP req load tables and will make some changes there.

What's the best way to control boost spikes?
If I press the pedal from 3-4k my boost stays under 19.5 psi but if go WOT at 4-5k my boost goes into the 20's. Or should I just feed the power in at those revs?
