Log APP, BCS DC, Abs Load, RPM. Look at APP & RPM to get requested load. Compare that req load to abs load to see that you hit your load target and see what BCS DC was required to do so. The ECU adjusts BCS DC to hit the load target, but it's best to have the base as close as possible to hit the load target quickly.

I'm looking forward to seeing the dyno results! Try cutting VVT advance at high rpm if you have time.
I don't understand what you mean by that. Could I use dashhawk with calculated Load, absolute load, rpm, tps and wgdc then match the rpm and tps in the BCS base table and edit that number so it matches the wgdc?

Requested load is not available as a PID to log. You need to look at APP and RPM to manually look up on the APP requested load table and/or the per gear requested load table to see what the requested load is for that gear/APP position. You need to then look at the logged absolute load to see if it hit that load. If Absolute load = Requested load, then that logged DC is what you want to use in the BCS DC base table.

Ah, I see! Thanks for explaining that, it's making sense now.

Hmm, still trying to sort this. On my logs, abs load doesn't seem to match the requested, it's always under at every range. I'm checking the gear and app load tables. Wgdc does not exceed 80% at any time on the logs.

As far as the abs to requested load goes, abs load will match the lowest of the load tables for a particular app/rpm/gear etc.

I know, but it's still lower than the lower value. My head hurts, I've been looking at this for an hour :?

EDIT: should I be using absolute throttle position or actual pedal position in my log?

This is amazing to see the UK pioneers at work!

I already feel left behind and have some pretty basic questions:

1) when I load up the versa tuner first time what map will it install - A stock one or your base 98 EU tune

2) when looking at the map editor are the tables you have altered in your tune the ones in bold and all the others stock?

3) Is the 'base tune' when you create a new one a stock MS3 or MS6 tune or are they the same anyway

Sorry to ask such dumb things

1) stock map will still be on, you can then flash whatever you want on that

2) yeas, edited tables are bold

3) the 'base' tune is a mildly tweaked map to which you alter things yourself or you can start with the stock tune and go from there. I'm sure eventually there will be a few different maps for different mods.
