First time tuning with versatuner!

Post by Shrek »

Hello all,

I recently purchased an 07 MS3 and am now tuning with versatuner. I have previously tuned my evo9 with ecuflash, a few DSM's with dsmlink and now this! I attached a 4th gear log and am using 93 octane gas, mods in sig! Please critique!

For a quicker response always share the .csv files instead of the .vtlog. You can export them from your Logs tab in versatuner.

Re-uploaded with a .csv file. Thank you!

Not bad at all for a stock turbo car!
For a stock block stay away from load values of 2 or higher below 3000rpm. At 3000rpm I suggest you command no more than 2.1, maybe 1.8 at 2500. 2.2 is ok from 3500 up. The rods will thank you.

Is this on 95RON/93OCT gas? If it's 98-100RON/93-94OCT then you could use quite a bit more timing to prevent the exhaust valves from getting cooked.

Thasnk you! This is 93 octane gas. Ill start with adding 1 degree of timing from the mid range - top end. Do you think I can extend my req. load to 2.2 to 5k rpm, and taper down from there?

With a stock turbo I'm not sure you can produce load 2.2 at 5k. Maybe 2.0. Even at 4000rpm 2.2 is a bit over the capabilities of the stock turbo. Even though it may achieve this load below 4500 when you will hit 5k rpm the turbo will be in flames, the intercooler and tubing probably heat soaked and you will be forced to lower the timing.
