Good day

Was wondering. What can I do to stop the black smoke on hard acceleration.It seems that the car is running rich.
Is there a map that will solve the issue or is it just a general issue with the mazda 3 mps, Is there any thing els that can be done
I don't want to buy the cable and software if it won't help me

With no logging/monitoring there is no way to determine what's wrong in your case. But yes, looks like your car is running too rich assuming that the smoke is black. The AFR values go as rich as 10 AFR on the stock tune but the catalytic converters should take care of the extra soot. Even without catalytic converters the smoke should not be visible in this case.

So i suggest to visit a mazda dealer and ask them to look into your problem.
