Behold! Today I found the presets (when Steve mentioned Maf cal preset) from dashboard :woohooo
I'm seriously starting to think about changing to public transport :cry

I had my car on scheduled service at stealership and asked them to check boost leaks also -> no leaks they said.
I'm still going to re-check them myself when I get a decent leak tester next week.

Now when I found the presets, here's a cutoff log on 4th gear with boost presets. Cut yields the P0234 overboost condition invisible cel.

Can you tell me, what's so different in base 98 program compared to stock tune, cuz it won't do the cut at all. Higher boost cut tresholds etc (higher danger also?)
Since this motor issue is so complex problem and not maybe solvable in near future, I ordered a GA just in case.

How is your idle? Is it smooth? How is your fuel consumption? It seems like there is a boost leak to me.

You're getting a fuel cut because of high calculated load.
On the other hand that load cannot be so high with so few throttle and boost. So it's either the MAF cal totally off or, since you're running the stock MAF cal as far as I understand, you're having a boost leak. Or anything that could make the ECU think that there's more air coming in than it actually is leading to very high calculated load values.

I think after changing CS inlet, the motor is running more rich, no maf calibration done yet. I guess I have to find the leak and then calibrate the maf. Idle is smooth afaik, fuel consumption is about 8-9L/100km on travel and 10-11,5 L on combined.

Intake leaks (before the turbo) lead to lean AFR's. Boost leaks (post-turbo) lead to rich AFR's. Exhaust leaks (anywhere between the engine block and the downpipe, before the lambda sensor) may also lead to rich mixtures because the ECU will see (through the lambda sensor) that the AFR's are leaner than target and will enrich them.

So see where you are to understand where you need to look.

Any problem can be fixed. But what's yours?

I was only interested if summerblink could fix his problem. Mine is not VersaTune related. I'm just interested in understanding Fuel Trims, and how to use this diagnostic to find causes of problems.
