Hello All...
I am wondering about the relationship between the VVT table and ignition advance.
My reason for further understanding is that I had a few degrees of knock at WOT around the 5000RPM point. I added a few degrees of extra timing on the VVT table at this point also. I am wondering if it is best to retard the cam slightly at this point, or retard the ignition advance at this point.
Thanks..!!

Re: Relationship between VVT table and Ignition Advance.
VVT and ignition timing are independent. VVT needs to be timed to optimize cylinder charging without reversion into the intake.
