Pop and Bang Map - Cat Failure

Good morning everyone (from the UK),

Have had a little issue with my speed3 the past 3 weeks.

I have lost power (limp mode)
I originally thought I had a boost leak as there was air escaping from somewhere on hard boost, since then I have taken it to a turbo specialist and no boost leaks or anything wrong with the turbo. They did however say that the issue could be caused by my cat being blocked or needing a new O2 sensor.

I am running the high octane pop and bang map, my question is if this specific tune could have blocked my cat up or completely destroyed it? I know the map notes say its made for a stock downpipe and cats so hopefully this isnt the case, but could it have been possible?

Thanksss

Launch control and pops&bangs are hard for catalytic converters and indeed they can shatter them or use them up if used in excess.
Yet because you are using versatuner you should look at the actual code that caused the limp mode and post it here. A shattered cat would only trigger secondary O2 codes which definitely will not put the car in limp mode.

So the code that was showing up was P2096.

I know that the pop and bang maps generally destroy a cat, but the Versatuner one is specifically made to not hurt the cat.

Any ideas on whats going on with my car?

Take a log and make sure you have commanded AFR, actual AFR, long therm fuel trims, short therm fuel trims among the usual things. I suspect you have a leak somewhere in the intake.
