2004 Rx-8 (AT)

Post by Komic »

Is this software compatible with the automatic RX-8? And if so are there maps available to be flashed? I have accessport, but could only find the rev limiter and not speed limiter so car would max out at 120.

VersaTuner is compatible with the automatic RX-8, but if it is a 4 port engine, we do not have any prebuilt tunes for it, so you would have to use the tune editor to build a tune yourself or contact an e-tuner.

Hi Ugnius,

Can you be more clear on 4-port engine? You do not have any pre-built tunes. But the default tune for 4-port engine will be installed during VT install on the car? I will be able to get from that point. It wont just be completely empty template without any values?
Can you clarify on that because on the web page there is no such information?

When you install VersaTuner, it will install the correct base tune for the 4-port engine. It is based on the factory tune for your car. So you will not start with empty tables, but with stock values and make your changes from there.
