MPG Improvement - Economizer Tune

Hello everyone, I am considering purchasing a Gen II RX-8, but my biggest concern is the fuel economy. I drive 25,000 miles a year, mostly highway. I know most people get 20-23 highway with this car, which frankly is pretty bad :swear . I have heard of economy tunes (specifically MM's economy tune for Cobb tuner) for the 1st gen RX-8 which help improve fuel economy (one user reported 30mpg highway with the economy tune, although there was some concern this tune ran the engine dangerously lean).

So my question: What kind of MPG numbers are you guys getting with the economy tune; specifically highway cruise control numbers and at what speeds are you achieving those numbers? Are you guys getting any codes or performance issues? What octane are you running? Lastly, what is your before/after highway mpg average (also state if you are UK imperial or US miles/gal).

Thanks guys! :beertoast
