Tune development

Post by Oxy90 »

Have you stopped with tune development on this engine, from reading the forums it seems you had been testing the 1.10 version which sorts the issue with turbo ossolation but there has not been any update on this for almost 2 years.

There are no test vehicles in the USA and we have not had much luck trying to fix the issue using remote beta testers. We are still planning to see if the professional tuner community can help us improve our SkyActiv-D tune.

Maybe I can provide you another tune I use, a completely different philosophy (not through common rail pressure, but through start of main injection, injection quantity and pulsewidth)... I just need to see if it can be ported from generic *.bin (WinOLS) to VersaTune format.

Otherwise, the oscillations mentioned here may be due to a carbon clogged intake tract, including MAP sensors. In my experience, VT works normally with a completely cleaned intake and without worn camshaft.

With the help of shr3k we have identified a set of important tables that we were missing. We are adding them to VersaTuner now and will release a new update and new beta tunes pretty soon. We will need your help testing the new tunes and providing data logs and feedback.
