Of course old tune over rail pressure, not the new one over start of injection.

I personally have been interpreting it as the old tune has meant the 1.08 stage 1 performance. Hope I'm right otherwise I've been tweaking the wrong tune 😱albeit the errors were definitely in that tune

Also shr3k could you please explain what the

unknown egt limit related multiplier 1 & 2

Is or controls. I put the values back to stock but unsure what it'll do. No 1 doesn't seem that different to stock 0.16 compared to 0.02 but no 2 is 1634 as opposed to 0.4 in stock tune

Values are named KQFULLDNI and KQFULLDNP, and are right before KQFULLDNTHEX_S (what should be EGT limiter 790 deg. C - THemperature EXhaust). It is possible it was badly scripted before.

So, has anyone tweaked the beta tune yet ?
I thought Versatune would be doing more regular updates to the beta tune.

me too, especially after submitting several logs. i've tweaked the beta tune myself but not messed with anything major as i'm not a tuning expert. i dropped the egt limit closer to stock @ 815 celsius, the unknown egt multiplier 2 to stock as it was way way too different from stock so had me concerned even though i don't really know what it does, also changed the unknown app mapping maybe 1, 2 & 3 tables back to stock as it's got a gentle curve above 70% APP as the revs increase whereas the beta map was just flat 70%, 75% etc right across the rev range. i haven't tested it to destruction like i did when i was submitting logs when this tune first landed so unsure if it'll still cut the power at extreme loads at wide open throttle to rpm's above 4000 as i don't normally drive that way. i do regularly accelerate hard though cycling up the gears normally changing from 2800 - 3800rpm and have so far not had any problems and prefer the tune over all the others. more than happy to share it if i'm allowed so you can look at the changes yourself but like i said i don't claim to be a tuner, i've just got a lifetime of aerospace engineering background from leaving school and im 41 now so gone off gut feelings with changes i've made where loads & limits have appeared drastically different from stock.

@Jpk would you mind sharing your tune ? I'm just on lite, so that I can't feel anything myself. Best regards from Germany!

done two versions of this map although you might struggle flashing it as i was led to believe you can only flash official versatune maps with lite version. One map has all the changes listed above but in the other i also transitioned all the values from 4000rpm to the exact same as the factory 175 tune. basically its beta map to 3600rpm, factory at 4000rpm and then interpolated horizontally between these revs. i can't see how to attach the maps so maybe one of the versatune guys can help me.

also with the help of another user supplying some tables from a different mazda skyactiv tune i compiled another tune which i'd hoped would sit in between the factory 175 and beta map.

* sorry but for some reason we can't upload our own images on this forum *

You can see how the tune developed after each adjustment, green lines was my first go, blue second, then finally red. in the other picture you can see how it stacked up against the 175 and beta map. again this tune has all the factory 175 map values from 4000rpm. the aim was to try avoid the fuel cut out from high temps and although having stock values for higher rpms, even the final map hit the limit, albeit with no fuel cut out, when doing a full throttle pull from 1200 to 4300rpm. didn't come close on all other very hard accelerations with gear changes at mid to high 3000's rpm and seems to pull better at each gear change.
