Dyno Charts

Post by venomcookie124 »

Hi,
I'm potentially interested in purchasing and applying Versatune software, but I'm scared by the lack of dyno charts available.
Can anyone show me the net gains for the 2.0l non turbo cx5 tunes?
Thanks

The dyno graph is posted on our website. Scroll down to find it: https://www.versatuner.com/features/maz ... g-2-0-gen1
It was recorded on a Mazda3, but the engine on the CX-5 is identical and the gains should be very similar.

I just found out today that the engines are identical, I thought it was just an example of what a chart would look like >:)
Do you know of anyone besides Corksport that does aftermarket parts for the 2.0l cx-5? I'm worried there's nothing to do besides air filters and exhaust for HP gains.
Thanks for the help

Oh and also sorry to double text, sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I really prefer to use the manual mode to squeeze every last drop out of the little engine, the tunes still work with the gear select right?

These are just ECU tunes, they will not affect the way the gearbox works.

I'm saying that the tune is for the engine management, not for the gearbox management. Of course the ECU tune itself has tables for specific situations depending on the gearbox setting (D, manual, sport, and so on) but generally the parameters are similar and will not affect the gearbox settings, and it will not be affected by the gearbox mode either. I'm not sure how to put it more clear than this :)

Yes, the tunes work on automatic transmission cars (regardless of whether you are using the gear selector or have it in D).

The 2.0l SkyActiv-G engine is also in the MX-5 ND/ND2. Perhaps something can be adapted or will work out of the box. Try contacting these guys: https://fab9tuning.com/
