P0335 code
I have an 05, new reman Bennett Built coils, stock air box with K&N air filter, stock header with cat less 2.5” mid pipe and HKS hi power catback.
I flashed this tune and after my first drive cycle I received a P0335 essentric shaft position sensor.
6port/revi/midpipe/catback/BHR D585 coils
Version 1.13
91US/95EU Octane tune for 6 port RX-8 with Racing Beat REVi intake and full Racing Beat exhaust and D585 style coils. Modified AFRs, dwell, and VDI settings provide horsepower and torque gains across the entire power band. 9700 rev limit. Slightly increased metering oil pump output for increased longevity.
I examined the sensor, cleaned and even replaced with a new one. I cleared the code with 20 brake step and pulling battery wire a few times and without having to start the car the code kept coming up. I cleared any masked mil codes as well and reflashed the tune.
I went back to a prior tune version 1.05 and the code instantly disappeared.
Would there be solutions for this, I would like to accommodate the new coils if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Clinton

Please try this tune. I set dwell to stock.
Did you have any issues with any other tunes?

Re: P0335 code
I’ll try this new one you have out, thank you.
I haven’t had any issues with the current version 1.05. I have only tried this tune so far.

Re: P0335 code
I just flashed the test tune p0335 and the check engine light appeared.
I flashed the version 1.04 and no check engine on that tune, so 1.04 and 1.05 no DTC

Re: P0335 code
We're running out of tables that could possibly be the problem.
Here is another to try.

Re: P0335 code
1. Try flashing one of Steve's tunes
2. Give your e shaft sensor a quick cleaning its easy to reach with a rag and some spray cleaner
3. Before you start the car after flashing the new tune, turn the key in to the on (but not engine on) and stomp your brake pedal about 25 times as fast as you can and you should see the oil pressure needle swee0 across the the ranges.
4. Turn key off
5. Start as normal
