Monstermills, were you able to test the last tune I posted?

Good afternoon Steve, I was able to flash the ecu today, I cleared everything before hand and it’s still showing this crank code. Sorry for the delay I didn’t use my car much due to work this last week.

Thank you for your efforts,

Clinton

This code is related to your ESS. Google "how to clean ESS RX8" I am positive you will get it fixed. I told you in an earlier post exactly what to do. If you don't follow advice how will you expect to figure out what is wrong? This is definitely not a tune related issue. Clean your sensor and clean the electrical plug and plug it back in and follow my instructions to reset the sensor.

This is what you need to clean and when you are done you MUST do the 20 brake pedal stomp reset

I have done everything in regards to the code for diagnostics. I have even purchased a brand new oem ess sensor and replaced. I do not get the code with any other downloadable tune, I only receive the the code with the version for the d585 coils.

:thumbup Hi there , same happened to me today and it's my first time trying to flash the ECU using the higher power tune with all the RB and coil add on things. So after I read your post I then tried the exhaust, high flow cat and K&N filter tune and no light . It came on straight after the first updated RB tune flashing . I did clear it a few times and checked out the sensor and wiring brake pumping as mentioned ,no good . Back to the basic high flow exhaust tune and all was good and I cycle the engine start and stop a few time for the drive cycle test and no p0335 code , so I went for a 20min drive to test out my first time flashing experience and everything was fine . Just the secondary opening serging around 4200rpm .
I hope this helps us , thanks . :thumbup

That makes two of us! I have basically all new components aside from my wire harness, but all the other tunes do not register an issue so one of the changed settings is effecting that tune.
