Shutter valve removal

Post by Edain »

Hello teams,

I hace a questión, I want to know what I need to remove the Shutter valve, I have no fault or codes, but I have investigated and it restricts the air flow. Do I need any reprogramming or just remove the DTC?
Thanks for your help...

You will have to take the intake manifold off, remove the flaps, the cut the shaft and only leave a small portion of it enough to cover the hole in the intake manifold, and then everything else on top of the intake manifold: shutter valve, actuator, position sensor, and so on.
Of course you will get some codes which you can remove later.

I appreciate your help mituc,
So, I don't need to reprogram or add extra value to the ECU, just eliminate the p2006 code?

Yes, just eliminate the codes that come up after that, 2006, 2009, whatever you may get from the same interval.
