What material is that? Inconel or steel?
What are you going to use for the IM? Some JMF with injector ports?
All the 600+hp guys on the MSF are using the Cobb AP even though VT would give more refined control at higher loads and RPMs, so I'm eager to see where your build is going
2008 Cosmic Blue Mazda 3MPS
Built engine + WMI + GTX3071 gen2, ~550BHP @35PSI
2008 Icy Blue Mazda CX7
Built engine and stock exhaust (YES!!), JBR3" + GTX2867 gen2 + Autotech HPFP, self-tuned to 360-ish BHP
The first stage of the build will be to get everything dialed in on stock fueling. Once I'm happy with everything, I'll work on increasing injection capacity. We have a few different ideas we want to try.
The manifold is schedule 40S ASTM A312 stainless. I assume 304 alloy. I don't see any marking to indicate if it's 304 or 316.

VT does have the capability for higher loads/RPM, but most people are using the AP for a few reasons. They've already gotten used to it, it does have a few features that VT does not have, more logging parameters available, and the ability to log more of those parameters at a time. The ability to see EVERYTHING that is happening via more logged parameters becomes a necessity once you start pushing so much power and move so far from stock.
Looks like this build will be pretty cool, you should post a thread on MSF as well!
