1st MAF calibration, am I doing it right?

Post by keridil »

Hi there,

I was trying to calibrate my MAF but it seems quite annoying for me. Knowing that even after the favor that Ugnius is doing me -thanks again for it- I wanna learn.

So I did read your post MAF 101 and another one in MSF, and I tried. What I want to know is if I'm doing it right.

I'm attaching 3 runs from 1500 rpm. to redline in 2nd gear. I'm attaching too my final calibration value in your Excel, only Closed Loop for now. After that I will apply multipliers to my ECU if you think it's ok.

Please, help me or give me some advise/coaching if you don't mind guys.

Cheers.

Hi there,

Ok, it seems quite fine right now STFT always between +5/-5 and LTFT -3.1/1.6.

Let's try to get -2/+2 in LTFT. ;) And after that WOT.

Cheers.

You'll have to excuse an idit here but seeing this post makes me a bit lost... :)
I'm trying my hand at calibrating the MAF soon and in the 101 it says that the value in the "combined trim" columns is suppose to be
the STFT and LTFT added together?
When i look at kendrils calibration file it just seems like the cells at corresponding volts are containing the just the value of the LTFT collumn

Have i missunderstood this?

Best regards
Bjorn

Combined trim refers to LTFT + STFT.

That was what i tried to get across... :(
Still lost i'm afraid....is it just the LTFT values from the log file that's suppose to go i the combined collumn?

Might be tired or have to blame something else i guess...

Log LTFT and STFT. Add them together then record that in the xls.

Hi there,

As Steve said. Add your LTFT values to your STFT values.

Cheers.
