Throttle does not open fully

Post by mrQQ »

I'm attaching the 3rd gear pull of my last tune. I've almost nailed the BCS (matches load to 1/100th of targeted most of the range), however I noticed strange thing. My DBW tables are adjusted, smoothed, but still target 80 from 1.8 onwards since 3k rpm, and even earlier on higher rpm. However, as seen on the log, Throttle opens only to 74 even 4k+ RPM.

Why does it do that? I'm targeting 80 there.

p.s. I can't upload attachements to the forum.

I guess 76-77% is all you can get. And 74% looks pretty close. As long as you hit your per gear load limits you're fine.

76% rts is 100%. It wont go over that. 80% is just to make sure that u open the throttle all the way

As long as you're hitting load targets don't worry about the throttle position, the ecu uses throttle closing to control load

The ECU averages in the previous several cycles of throttle position to smooth the throttle opening. As a result, it takes a little while to get the throttle to open that last few percent.
