Question about stock tunes - BCS base

Post by mrQQ »

Hi,

why is it that in stock tunes Base 93 and Base 93 High Load, BCS base is same, even though requested load is much higher?

I think it still works, ECU can adjust actual BCS values to be quite a bit different than base values. As far as I have understood, base values should ideally be quite close to actual values needed to reach certain load. So in that sense they might be somewhet higher in hi-load tune. Maybe Steve can comment this better....

From what I understand (not a lot basically). If the wgdc is higher than required you can get load spikes, if it is lower the only danger is not meeting load targets. Seeing as the tunes are "one size fits all" then they have to be conservative
