compare KOEO MAP to BARO reading They should be very close.

I have the CorkSport 3.5BAR MAP sensor, it's all calibrated in the tune and works fine. Can I use the Bosch 3.5BAR MAP PID for logging and expect proper results or should I log the MAP voltage instead and run it through the sensor equation to get the actual MAP reading?

Ok, so the MAP values are not logged correctly with the Bosch 3.5BAR MAP pid, should I try the AEM or wait for an update?

What are the multipliers and additive for the Corksport MAP sensor?
We will make the MAP PID customizable in the next version, you should be able to use the same constants as in the tune.

Scale additive: 4.26
Base multiplier: 210
Second multiplier: 0.35

Thank you!

Alright... I'm using one of my lifelines here... I just installed a 3 Bar MAP sensor part# 281 002 845. I used the values Steve specified in this thread for the scalars and offset.

Scale Additive: 5.4444
Scale Base Multiplier: 65.7777
Scale Second Multiplier: 1

When I turn Key On Engine Off I get the following values:

Barometric Pressure: 14.1
Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure: 12.1
Boost Pressure: -2.0
MAP Sensor Voltage: 1.58v

No matter what value I use for the offset, I can not get that boost pressure any closer to 0. I've gone +20 and -20 with no changes. Need some help. Thanks.

I was using 5.41 for the Scale Additive but I'm not sure if it makes that much of a difference.
If the baro pressure is about right (you can check that on any weather site which has the baro pressure displayed for your location) then leave it as is because this sounds about right.

The boost sensor is there to measure the absolute pressure in the intake manifold, so if calibrated correctly (in your case it is pretty much) you should be able to set the MAP limits correctly.

Make sure you also set the same constants for the Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure parameter in the Dashboard (hover the mouse on it and click "Customize..."). Setting the constants in the Tune Editor is not enough.

Hi guys. Hope everyone is well. Need some advice regarding the Bosch 3bar 845 MAP sensor. Im helping someone on a different platform (Ive asked Steve alteay and he replied). They soldered harness onto the new map sensor. When logging he is seeing around max 0.9V MAP. Now Steve told me last night that they need to check the wiring. Also what I mentioned to them. The guys are not buying it though. The reason why Im posting it here and asking again is that it seems as if all guys here in South Africa is maxing MAP voltage at that 0.9V. Ive tried numerous scaling values before noticing the low MAP voltage. Am I missing something here? I know the scaling wont influence the actual voltage but only the reported kPa. Absolute Pressure showing around 34psi with ambient pressure at around 12.3psi. Your input would be greatly appreciated
