Too small of a restrictor will cause boost spikes.
Kevin wrote:Thanks Steve. I will definately check that out. I read something very interesting last night. The article said that the oem restrictor is 0.0415" / 1.0541mm, and that for similar to stock turbos with a weaker actuator spring the pill size should be in the region of 0.028" / 0.7112mm to 0.040" / 1.016mm. For bigger turbos on the mps a restrictor pill between 0.042" / 1.0668mm and 0.060" / 1.524mm should be used.

Would there be a negative effect if the restrictor pill is too small for the size of the turbo? I have a 0.031" / 0.8mm mig tip in there as a restrictor. Msf.org guys recommend starting with a 0.040" on a 3071 turbo

The DBW throttle makes noise too. Have someone put their hand on the EBCS to feel it. Also, put a meter on the EBCS connector to ensure that it's getting +12V when the key is on.
Kevin wrote:Ok, so i quickly went to the car to try this out. As soon as the ignition is on, there is some sort of buzzing sound(dont know if that is normal), sounds like its coming from tje ignition or some place close to there. Pressed the pedal slowly but dod not hear any other sounds...

Tested the voltage on the ebcs and it reads 12,18V ... So i presume thats not the problem

I think it should be 12.8V at 100% WGDC... otherwise it should vary. Or am I wrong?

It should have +12v switched by the key on one pin. The ECU sends PWM ground to the other pin.

So the voltage is correct then?
Im personally thinking that the wastegate is partially stuck open
