Kev, shot in the dark...... lol

@ Steve, the Hybrid is a KO4 exhaust housing, actuator

and a GT 28 Compressor housing and CHRA with matched oil and coolant lines.

I can suggest different sizes, mig pills, and see how that works out..........

or ebcs...........

Lol, my turbo knowledge is very limited. Im leaning towards Cobb EBCS, but first want to make sure that im not missing something. What would happen of the restrictor pill is completely removed?

Kevin wrote: Slowly started to increase wgdc. At 60% commanding i was only hitting a max load of 1.55 @ 1bar 14.7psi boost. My MAF is calibrated and i only see MAF V's of 4.08-ish Volts at best. I have a 3" sri and tip. I thought that I would test the wgdc and upped it to 70% and also increased the loads to 1.8. The results where exactly the same as before. Wgdc did not go over 60%, boost did not go up nor did anything else. Im commanding an AFR of 11.4 and hitting that. Boost does not go over 1.05bar...which I think is very weird. Boost liimits are set to close throttle ar around 1.25bar.
One more thing: your spring pressure may be 1BAR which is pretty much the max boost you're seeing. In addition to the leaks you may want to check if the EBCS is working properly, the boost lines are intact and hooked up to the right port, the connector is not loose, and so on.

I checked this afternoon. Theres 2 boost lines on the mbcs. One coming from the boost source and one going to the actuator. They seem tight, but i will just make 100% sure.

Ok, so did some troubleshooting today. I checked for leaks as far as i could. Thread sealed all places i thought could be leaking. Used another mbc. Checked the restrictor pill, its the same size as the K04. Did a few logs. Same results

I did not test for any leaks on the turbo or exhaust.

With Key on, Engine Off, do you hear the EBCS buzz as you slowly press the gas from 0% to 100%? At some point in the middle, you should hear it buzz. Log BCSDC while you do it and when logged BCSDC is 50% ish, you should hear it buzz.

If no buzz, check the fan fuse in the fuse box. The ebcs and fan are on the same fuse.

Thanks Steve. I will definately check that out. I read something very interesting last night. The article said that the oem restrictor is 0.0415" / 1.0541mm, and that for similar to stock turbos with a weaker actuator spring the pill size should be in the region of 0.028" / 0.7112mm to 0.040" / 1.016mm. For bigger turbos on the mps a restrictor pill between 0.042" / 1.0668mm and 0.060" / 1.524mm should be used.

Would there be a negative effect if the restrictor pill is too small for the size of the turbo? I have a 0.031" / 0.8mm mig tip in there as a restrictor. Msf.org guys recommend starting with a 0.040" on a 3071 turbo

Ok, so i quickly went to the car to try this out. As soon as the ignition is on, there is some sort of buzzing sound(dont know if that is normal), sounds like its coming from tje ignition or some place close to there. Pressed the pedal slowly but dod not hear any other sounds...
