VE tables vs Closed loop/partial tables ?

Post by bambam787 »

anyone have deep knowledge into this? i always play with close loop/partial and open loop tables but isnt VE tables kinda the same or what's the difference? at what point ecu logic uses which table?
thought VE tables was for speed density tuning

Well, putting this back into the right context of your previous post regarding tuning for cams, since our cars have a MAF sensor you can always use that. However, for proper load calculations you still need to have the VE tables close (not 100% right, but close). And with higher lift/duration cams the VE at low engine speeds may decrease because there may be a bit of overlap.
