I've noticed that there are several MAP PIDs available: the Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure which is supposed to be reported by the stock MAP sensor, the 3 and the 3.5BAR MAP sensors.
My question is, once scalled correctly in the tune isn't the ECU supposed to report the MAP correctly and accordingly to that scaling?
If I switch to the Bosch 3BAR MAP Sensor can I continue using the intake manifold absolute pressure PID or I should switch to the Bosch 3BAR pid (which I assume will report the MAP based on the MAP sensor voltage readings)?

Re: MAP PIDs
You can log MAP with a 3 or 3.5 BAR MAP using the standard PID and it will report properly scaled values assuming you have madified the correct MAP logging values in your tune. Unfortunately, the standard MAP pid scaling has a maximum value of 255 kPa. The other PIDs are calculated based on the MAP volts and predefined constants for the known MAP sensors and are not limited to 255 kPa. This will be addressed with a new universal high pressure PID in an upcoming release of VersaTuner.
Re: MAP PIDs
Ok, I installed the Bosch 3BAR MAP Sensor today (the 845 sensor) and forgot to switch the MAP PID to MAP Bosch 3BAR. However, as I did not boost higher than like 10PSI the default PID worked just fine and the values recorded are pretty much where they should be.
Next time I'll log in parallel and see what the differences are, now I'm curious. Of course I'll use the 3BAR PID eventually.

Re: MAP PIDs
The stock MAP PID is limited to 255 kPa. The other PIDs allow for the full range. So, with the stock PID, you could be at 300kPa , but reporting 255.
