Missing features in VersaTuner

Post by EmPeEs6 »

Hi,
here's my personal overview of missing features / functionalities which could or should be improved or extended (I already posted this "wish list" on MSF) - would be great if at least some of these proposals were considered for the development of the next VT release!

- possibility to compare single tables as well as whole tuning maps (and a copy on demand function for selected cells of different tables/maps)
- graphical visualization of parameters during logging
- it would be nice if there were more log/dashboard-parameters allowed (at least 14-16 instead of just 12)
- automatic storage of logging files without having to type in a destination name (for driving safety)
- better graphical visualization of logging data
- integrated (rough estimated) power calculation for log data
- undo function (for accidentally wrong inputs)!!!
- automatic highlighting of all current changes / since the last save action and not only of those comparing to the very first (original/stock) file
- there should be a confirmation prompt if you close an editor window / hit a delete or clear button so that any pending changes don't get lost accidentally
- renaming of tunes and presets should be possible
- there sould be a statistics/history of the last flash action(s)
- the share-action should always use (initially offer) the very last storage location or some predefined folder instead of the desktop
- selected cells could be marked more clearly
- visualization in the table editor should be more "structured" (e.g. by using grid lines ect.), moving the perspective in a desired way/direction/angle sould be easier
...

Great ideas, thanks for the list. There's a big update planned, we will do our best to include as much as we can in it.

It would also be nice if the max allowed input value for the VVT table was at least 35 instead of just 30...

VT should remember last log file save location or default location should be able to be defined.

Great would be a (optional) AFR-view for all fuel tables, so that you can see and enter values in air fuel ratio format (which is much more common) without having to transform first via dividing/multiplying by 14.7!
