On April 8th, 2014 Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP operating system and will not release any new patches and fixes.
Until now VersaTuner application has been based on Microsoft .NET framework 4.0, which works on Windows XP and later versions of Windows, but many new .NET versions have been released that add new features, improved performance, usability and reliability. In order for us to move forward and be able to offer the latest and greatest features and user experience in VersaTuner, we will have to upgrade to .NET 4.5 or later. This means that we will have to drop support for Windows XP, because new.NET framework versions require Windows Vista or later.
Long story short: VersaTuner 1.9.X is the last version to work on Windows XP, VersaTuner 2.0 (currently under development) will work on Windows Vista or later.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused and I'm sure that the new features will be well worth the effort.

Re: Windows XP support
.NET 4 is available also for windows XP. It's just the .NET framework that initially stayed in the way of releasing the new version for winXP as well or there are some other things?

Re: Windows XP support
.NET 4.0 runs on XP, but .NET 4.5 requires Vista or later. That's the only thing that will prevent VT 2.0 from running on XP.
