Good morning, after making the backup the software doesn't let me install versatuner on the control unit, it gives me an error negative response condition not correct received when using service 36
Why??

There are three possible causes:
1. The ECU may sometimes be stuck in some non-standard mode. Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to fully reset it and try again.
2. There may be some kind of aftermarket devices connected to the CAN bus of the vehicle, such as gauges, loggers, modules that control radio/lights, alarms, etc. They can interfere with the reflash process and cause this error. You will need to disconnect them while you are flashing/logging the car.
3. The ECU may have been tuned using a different tuning solution, which is blocking VersaTuner. In this case you will need to remove the previous tune first or replace the ECU.
