Could not detect OBDlink SX baud rate...

Post by amiara »

Hi

I just got a Obdlink SX and trying the versatuner to detect the car but connection fails and the error says " could not detect OBDlink baud rate..; \

It works on OBDwiz software where one can set baud rate to 1000000! but does not work with lower rate! How can we set Baud rate on Versatuner? thanks for tip.

In the OBDLink software try setting the BAUD rate to AUTO and see if it starts going.

I don't think you're supposed to set any baud rate in versatuner for this adapter, you should set it in the STN application or whatever comes with the tool.

Yes on STN tool ,it only works with Baud Rate 1000000!! on OBDwiz tool also works with 1000000! but there is no COM setting on Versatuner.

I think you are supposed to configure the adapter in the system using the STN tool (or ifprep2?), and once it becomes available in the system you will be able to select it in the versatuner (or any other software that can use or needs a similar interface) as well.

VersaTuner tries different baud rates automatically, but 1000000 is not one of them, that's why the cable is not detected.
We will fix that in an update and publish it today or tomorrow.
