Vgate Vlinker FS cable not detected
Vgate Vlinker FS cable not detected
I am new to Versatune. I just received the vLinker FS cable from Fab9 and when I connect the cable it appears in the device manager as com3 with VID 0403 and PID 6015. The FTDI driver version I have is 2.12.36.4. Versatune version I am using is 24.2.1.0 and it does not show the USB cable in the "Choose vehicle interface" list. I haven't found information on how to work with this particular cable.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Please download FT Prog application: https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads ... taller.zip
Run it and click Devices - Scan and Parse.
If the device is listed in the Device Tree, please attach a screenshot.

Re: Vgate Vlinker FS cable not detected
Your cable has not been properly programmed from the factory.
Here is what you can do to fix that:
1. Connect the cable to the USB port
2. Run FT_PROG and click F5
3. In the tree of devices expand FT EEPROM -> USB String Descriptors
4. Enter "www.vgatemall.com" as Manufacturer and "vLinker FS" as Product Description. Leave everything else unchanged.
5. Click "Program Devices" (flash icon) in the toolbar.
6. Click "Program"

Re: Vgate Vlinker FS cable not detected
This error is usually caused by aftermarket devices connected to the CAN bus of the vehicle. Typically those can be gauges, loggers, alarms, modules that control the radio, sunroof or DRL, etc. You will need to disconnect them while flashing or logging with VersaTuner.dmpinkevitch wrote: ↑March 30th, 2025, 5:12 pm I have the drivers and identified my car in versa but wont allow install of versatuner as it throws a "Vehicle response has a non-matching service ID"?? its the rx8 and same vin as identified.
